This is wonderful stuff! These are the kinds of thing that should be
put into kids books and movies, because they are inspiring and will
hopefully be around or developed by them in some form, or even a
better form when they are grown up.
Personally, I think the need to carry large amounts of inertial
reaction mass and the energy to heat it will ultimately not be
necessary.
