Agreed, except for the caveat that if Mills' can get his CIHT process
off the ground BLP might still have a fighting chance.

It might eventually turn into a practical evaluation of determining
whether in Rossi's "low-tech" system of heating steam to turn turbines
to generate electricity is more complicated than Mills' more exotic
system of generating electricity directly via through a complicated
mechanical catalytic regeneration approach.

At this stage of the game both approaches appear to have inherent
technological complexities that must be mastered.

Different approaches + competition = a good thing.

Meant to say "higher peak temperature" instead of "more heat"

...in effect, only one or two of the five heaters would be active at any
time, and these are used ONLY in regeneration mode. For Mills, this in the
temperature range of 500-600 C ...

OK - The beauty of the Rossi approach is that with electricity as an input,
you can raise the temperature from say 550 to 600 with a lot less energy,
obviously.

The batch mode problem necessitated that Mills use very complex reactants
which supply that extra temperature gradient by a "lossy" chemical reaction.
Rossi does it with differential heating to raise the temperature peak.

Thus Rossi gets the higher initial boost, compared to Mills, and without
exotic combinations.

In effect, he has trumped Mills at his own game.
