Dear Friends,
My Swedish name sake has asked me to disseminate this Warning.
Take care e-mail theft is much worse than browser hijacking that has led me

[Vo]:A message from the Ministry of Truth

2011-03-30 Thread Jed Rothwell
Brian Josephson sent me a link to this audio interview on the BBC with Sir
David King, who explains why it is irrational to worry about radiation from
the Fukushima nuclear plant, just keep walking folks nothing to see here:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/today/hi/today/newsid_9439000/9439385.stm

Comments on Fukushima start at 4:15.

Josephson titled this "The Ministry of Truth" and commented ". . . what
about the relative risks of radiation in a jet plane and [being] near
Fukushima -- are flights in jet planes limited to 50 min. at a time as for
Fukushima workers?"

Sir David rivals Japanese government officials in his doubletalk and
evasions. He said the reactor survived the worst earthquake in history. So
did my house in Atlanta. Both were far from the epicenter. The effects of
the earthquake on land were not severe.

The interviewer kept saying "you say the reactor 'survived' but it has't
survived yet, has it? The crisis is continuing, isn't it?" If this is King's
idea of "survival" I would hate to see what he considers a severe accident.
I will bet King never expected to see two reactor buildings blow sky-high
from hydrogen explosions.
