[vox-tech] Mouse Question
My Microsoft Intellimouse which came with this computer in 1997, is beginning to act like those Mac mice do when they're dirty. When you move the mouse the arrow on the screen stalls out every once in a while. So I took the ball out and there was a lot of lint and dirt inside of the mouse. I vacumed out the opening of the mouse and cleaned the ball with alcohol and a Q-tip. Suprisingly, however, the mouse is working just like it did. Does that mean it's time to buy a new mouse? dear all, on all enlightenments i've seen, the left button will bring up a user app menu when clicked on the desktop. the machine i'm sitting at is completely unresponsive to left clicks on the background. it can be an X problem or an enlightenment problem. i'm trying to determine which. the left button seems to work in all other regards (clicking buttons in windows) so i'm leaning towards enlightenment problem. any ideas? maybe it's getting late, but i'm kind of stumped by this. i'd like to have the left button bring up a user menu on this machine... thanks! pete PGP signature
