[Voyage-linux] Alsamixer isn't restoring saved parameters after reboot

2015-01-04 Thread mad qwerty
i was looking at system console while booting,
when music stops playing i can see some fast page of messages/error
involving amixer and they are repeated for many channels/items,
but they are blanked suddenly for the console login,
i wasn't able to find these messages into any kernel or system logfile or
by activating some deamon,

does anyone knows how to grab these messages ?

thanks in advance
Marco

Alsamixer isn't restoring saved parameters after reboot
   (mad qwerty)

curious thing is that, when booting,
my mixer setup is correctly settled at first (i can hear it) but after a
few seconds it switches to the default/wrong configuration (i can't hear no
 more),
so i need to wait for console and type alsactl restore to reset my
 configuration.

[Voyage-linux] Alsamixer isn't restoring saved parameters after reboot

2015-01-02 Thread mad qwerty
Hello everybody,
i'm running Voyage MPD 0.9.5 with a EMU10K1 PCI soundcard,
which was installed following first 5 points oh this guide
https://wiki.debian.org/it/snd-emu10k1

i can correctly set every switch or slide of every input or output of every
soundcard in alsamixer,
but when rebooting the whole mixer configuration is changed to a default
setup different from mine,
even when i explicitly save this with alsactl store 0 command, before
rebooting.

in order to obtain my correct configuration,
at every boot i need to manually invoke alsactl restore command.

in the past i used to append commands at the end of do_start routine
of /etc/init.d/bootmisc.sh to invoke them during boot time,
but alsactl restore is not working here.

curious thing is that, when booting,
my mixer setup is correctly settled at first (i can hear it) but after a
few seconds it switches to the default/wrong configuration (i can't hear no
more),
so i need to wait for console and type alsactl restore to reset my
configuration.

Any idea on how to solve this?
Thanks in advance ^_^
Marco
