You need a initramfs-tools (=0.110), please read:

http://metadata.ftp-master.debian.org/changelogs//main/i/initramfs-tools/initramfs-tools_0.116_changelog,

and read the change on 0.110.  Then recreate initramfs after install the kernel 
and initramfs-tools

I build my own voyage compliant kernel. Building with your .config on more 
recent 3.14 doesn't run on APU. I miss ehci-pci in initrd. How did you fix 
this? I cannot find it in 0.9.5 SDK.

Maybe include kernel fixes and linux image build script in SDK?
