Could you post more details about this?
1.The startup script you have for a vserver which does the arp takeover.
Assume listed in /etc/vservers/servername.sh
How do you disable rebootmgr if you are using vserver?
Does this break other items?
2.) Your Heartbeat script.
3.) Your Sample drbd config.

Any other changes you had to make to vserver to get this to work.
I'll go ask on the drbd list for more drbd specific information.
Thanks.
I'll write this up if I can get more information on this, thanks.

hmm, the purpose of fakeinit (flag) is to either make
a faked 'init' process visible inside the context or
to use a real init process, which get's the faked pid
1 inside the context ...

this isn't related in any way to static vs. dynamic
context id's.

nevertheless static contexts are required to use
the Context Disk Limit feature, because xid tagging
can not work with dynamic contexts ...

interesting that I should have mentioned that
explicitely, but I can assure you, that this hasn't

[Vserver] fakeinit flag, fixed context id and disk limits

2004-05-27 Thread Alexander Goeres
Hello to everybody and especially to Herbert..

Just one question, because I couldn't find anything about it in my mails from
the list:

Can the fakeinit flag be applied with static context ids and the setting of
disk limits in the stable vserver branch?

Only thing I found was Herbert mentioning it would work in the 1.3x branch but
perhaps that changed in the meantime??

Thanx in advance

hmm, yes probably you get it, because you should
a) check _all_ the pages and b) differenciate
between stable and development ...

(for example)
http://www.13thfloor.at/vserver/d_rel26/v1.9.1/

and second, I am not updating 'suggested' tools
without good reason, and the good reason for _not_
updating them everytime a new util-vserver version
is released, is just that the announced version
was tested with the according release ...

best,
Herbert

FYI... Although I haven't tried them yet... Gentoo has vserver ebuilds in the
portage tree.

sys-cluster/util-vserver-0.29.5
DESCRIPTION="Vserver admin-tools."

sys-kernel/vserver-sources-2.4.25.1.3.8-r2

Just thought I'd pass that info along for anyone interrested.
