[Vserver] Problems building util-vserver-0.23.90.2

2005-01-10 Thread Tad Truex
Greetings all,

I have grabbed the util-vserver-0.23.90.2 which I believe goes along
with the patch for the 2.6.10 kernel (patch-2.6.10-vs1.9.3.17.diff)

The kernel built and booted just fine.

I grabbed the vserver.spec file out of the util-vserver-0.23.90.2
tarball and tried to build it, but I get the following errors.

In file included from src/capchroot.c:39:
./linuxcaps.h:35: error: syntax error before '*' token
./linuxcaps.h:35: warning: type defaults to `int' in declaration of
`cap_user_header_t'
./linuxcaps.h:35: error: ISO C forbids data definition with no type or
storage class
./linuxcaps.h:41: error: syntax error before '*' token
./linuxcaps.h:41: warning: type defaults to `int' in declaration of
`cap_user_data_t'
./linuxcaps.h:41: error: ISO C forbids data definition with no type or
storage class
make[1]: *** [src/capchroot.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/util-
vserver-0.23.90.2'
make: *** [all] Error 2

Has anyone seen this already and figured out what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
Tad

PS - I am trying to build on a well patched FC3 distro.

[Vserver] Can't set the ipv4 root

2004-10-27 Thread Tad Truex

Greetings,

I have built a 2.6.8.1 kernel with the 1.9.2 verser patch cleanly
applied and (I believe) correctly configured.

I have built what I believe is a functional relatively minimal FC2 root
directory. I used the install-fc1 script from util-vserver version 0.30
as a basis for my install.

I have set IPROOT to eth1:192.168.1.30 in my config . (eth1 is the
device on the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet)

When I try to start the vserver I get the following.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] util-vserver]# vserver fc2 start
Starting the virtual server fc2
Server fc2 is not running
Can't set the ipv4 root (Function not implemented)

Any one have a thought about where I should look for the source of the
problem? (I checked google and the util-vserver source, but didn't turn
anything up...)

Thanks in advance,
Tad
