Re: Brett's Woes: when does the new Mac stuff arrive.... was something else!

You know if you have 2 macs at home, you dial the internet on one and share
the connection over airport to the other.
So long as the 2 macs (eg desktop in study and iBook anywhere within range)
both have airport cards.
ie, you may not need Basestation
Cheers
Rod

The advantage of the basestation is that it's always on, which is
usually a pretty good idea in network hardware, to avoid those
annoying times when someone reboots the Mac that's acting as the
router, or it's turned off, or whatever.

Have fun,
Shay

OS 10.2.4 Epson printer

2003-02-16 Thread Michael Hawkins
Nothing prints on my Epson colour 670 since I installed the combo update for
OS 10.2.4. I was able to use Gimp print to get the printer to work in
10.2.3, but now the message appears in Print Centre awaiting generic
device, followed by the barber's pole which displays the rate of print
conversion. It gets to 100%, and then the message appears No job printing.
I have tried restarting and have tried repairing privileges through Disk
Utility.

Any suggestions? I find it unbelievable that Apple manages to goof so
frequently with such a basic function as printing. I have yet to see if my
HP Officejet G85 will work.

Michael Hawkins.
