Severin,

Under Preferences, Sound, Sound Effects, there is a checkbox for  
'Play user interface sound effects'.  Word has noises for a few  
events, including Save.  Applies to all documents (and also not just  
Word).

Holding down the option key when you click on save used to make the setting
default in most programs. DonĀ¹t know if its true of office.
Why on earth would you want an irritating noise everytime you press save.
Office has the automatic save thing so perhaps the default for a sound is in
that preference.
