3D Design Software

2007-02-14 Thread Chris Watt

Hi Guys,

I'm after a pretty simple to use 3D rendering program for OS X that
will run on my MBP.

Any chance anyone has had any experience with one?

Cheers!

ibook kernel panics

2007-02-14 Thread Gordon Wragg

Hi folks,

My ibook is having kernel panics. Doesn't seem to be any application
that is at fault, although i had been exporting iPhoto images to a
USB flash drive just prior to the first.

Unfortunately, I can't find my start=up disks, but did have a generic
start-up disk and did a re-install. Still have the panics and now
can't use mouse pad and other iBook features.

I'm using OSX 10.4, 1.42GHz iBook with 768Mb RAM.

Any ideas or help?

Gordon

Without knowing what you want to do with it, Google SketchUp is a
simple-to-use 3D program, and it's free!

Mac because I prefer it -- Windows because I have to.

Re: ethernet port

2007-02-14 Thread KEVIN Lock
Many thanks to Jo, David and Paul. I keep forgetting to try the Pram
zap. I did get it to function after talking rather sternly to it
and hitting it with TechTool Pro and Yasu. TechTool reported that
the network was fine.
I don't know which did it...probably the tongue lashing. Once I
set it up at my friend's place I will zap the pram to be doubly sure.

I have read quite a few conflicting reports about the validity of
zapping the Pram, but in the past have had success solving some
problems by doing it.

Once again, thanks to the collective knowledge of this group.

regards

Kev

You need AppleScript, and an obliging mail server it can connect to
to send the e-mail.
