All personal mailboxes in the Favourites bar are greyed out on a new iMac (27 inch 5K with Mojave 10.14.5). I Used Migration Assistant to copy all data from Time Machine. The backup has been erased.
I Rebuilt the inbox for my main mail account but this made no difference. ~/Library/Mail/ contains V5 and V6 folders. I normally move mail from my Inbox to the Favourites mailboxes. I have mail archives (outside the Mail app) up to December 2017. The Mail “Sent” folder holds all (?) messages from 2017. Can I recover my Favourites mail history?
