[WAMUG] MacBook Air purchase

   Hi All


   I am about to purchase a new MacBook Air.  I have had my current one
   since early 2017 and am finding it isn’t accepting updates of some
   programs.  I am having problems with ‘Photos’ in particular.


   It is in excellent condition, physically.  Should I trade it in (I
   think Apple only offers about $140) or I think I’ve read someone on
   this list works their magic with old/unwanted computers and then passes
   them on to someone who can’t afford one?  True?   If this the case I
   would much prefer to go down this path. So if this is you could you
   reply?

[WAMUG] Apps to Hide and Password protect a Folder on Mac

   Hi I am wondering if anyone can suggest any application for an iMac
   that will hide and password protect a folder?

   I need one where I can access the folder regularly to update and store
   passwords etc, so using filevault and encryption and creating copies is
   to time consuming.

   I previously had Apimac Secret Folder on an old Mac which did the trick
   but looking today they want $51.95 for it which seems a bit of a rip
   off for such a minor app.

   Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
