Find My iPhone

2013-02-06 Thread Adrian Stevens
Hey.

I am just wondering if Find My iPhone works on an IMEI basis or a iCloud
account. Because my friend got their iPhone 4S stolen and we can't locate it.

Hope you can help.

Thanks,

Yep. I'd definitely upgrade. I don't have any problems with apple maps anyway

Mountain Lion Dock

2012-12-30 Thread Adrian Stevens
Hello.
I have noticed about within mountain lion to do with the dock. I have my dock
hidden so that it only appears when I drag my mouse to it. However when
switching between full screen apps, occasionally the dock reappears and will
not hide until I restart the computer. Has anyone noticed this??

Thanks,
Adrian Stevens

Looks like someone is trying to persuade you to give you're personal details
about your e-mail account. They are pretending to be upgrading the system and
all users have to update they're email address, name, password, username etc.

Would delete the email immediately or send it to the ACMA to remove.

Sorry Ronda,

Been bogged under with homework and I couldn't get back to you.

Yes your tutorial worked very well.

Thank you so much.

The how to scan points in your last e-mail, none of them worked. But I
downloaded the program called VueScan and it works perfectly!

Must be a mac compatibility problem!!

New iMac

2011-03-09 Thread Adrian Stevens
Hi Guys,

I have finally bought my first iMac! I am pretty familiar with the Mac anatomy
but is there any smart tips or shortcuts I might need?

Also, if there are any apps or programs that manage homework that would be
great (just started high school)

And I promise, no more windows questions!

I have 2 problems (I know, "thats not like mac!!!"):

I have a HP deskjet all-in-one F370 printer (also with scanner and copier). My
mac will recognise it as a printer but not a scanner! I have tried downloading
drivers, but all it says is "CANNNOT CONNECT TO PRINTER".
My external HDD can be viewed on the mac, but cannot be edited, written over or
changed!

Thanks,
Adrian Stevens

Re: Printer advice

2011-03-01 Thread Adrian Stevens
Hi Alex,

I use the HP F370 All in one printer.

It has a scanner, printer and copier. It cost me about $120 I think.
Although it might be discountiued.
They are a good little printer and do the job. If you want high res photos,
its awesome, but, it is an inkjet so it is not as good as maybe a laser
printer.
Look in to this type of model or equivalent!

Cheers,
Adrian

I am very passionate about Apple. I did respond to the eBay messages, perhaps
the message didn't get through. I did take the advise and will be upgrading soon

It was actually my mums problem on her computer an I offered to help her out.

This is a one off

I am starting to second guess the faith that WAMUG has in young children who
are stuck with windows while they are saving like mad to buy a mac.

Hi Kyle

The computer is about 1 1/2 years old. The processor is a AMD ATHLON.

It could be over heating, it never does it when on battery, but the batter only
lasts 60min on idle!

Vista shutdowns

2011-02-22 Thread Adrian Stevens

I'm running vista HOME PREMIUM... ok, I know this is a Mac mailing list but I
thought you might be able to help.

When I'm watching movies on my COMPAQ CQ60, after about 45 min the screen turns
off and then it goes into hibernation. I've changed the setting to never sleep
or hibernate but it still does it.

Also the computer gets VERY HOT!

Any suggestions are very welcome

Thanks guys

You see I'm 12 and i have been saving for a while. I have been accumulating a

I don't mind getting an older model iMac as long as it lasts me through most of

I will try Macworx in Joondalup.
