Telstra

2017-03-17 Thread Alan Fenton
Hello.
I have my 5 lost email accounts working again after Telstra finally
reactivated them.
Now my email account tied to my new Hot spot modem is a subscription. ( I will
have to pay $79 per year)
I am now looking into the subscription.
Gmail looks to be a good alternative.

Has anyone noticed Telstra share price going down? I wonder why?

Hello.
Telstra lost 5 email accounts Monday when I updated my mobile hotspot modem and
 added to my Telstra account.
Tuesday night I got back 4 accounts.
Today rang telstra to get last account. Waiting for return call.
I have this problem when I update telstra hardware due I think to having

Numbers 4.0.5

2017-02-15 Thread Alan Fenton
Hello.
I use Numbers ’09. My mum uses current Numbers to run her super fund and share
trading.
We are frustrated with current Numbers. I wish to change mum’s back to
Numbers ’09.
I can copy my Numbers ’09 to mum’s iMac ( about 2 months old) by Air Drop.
Will that do or do I need Numbers ’09 with Installer?

From Alan.

PS The WAMUG web pages need updating as to meetings and committee members
that I noticed while looking to pay membership.
Could WAMUG send a notice or receipt by email to show they have
received payment?

Itunes downloads

2014-03-19 Thread Alan Fenton
Hello.
How do I permanently stop or council unwanted downloads from iTunes?
Due to a slow internet I have started two downloads of the same TV program.(
Seems nothing is happening so I click download again and then the downloads
start. I stop one and let the other finish) One I want but the other I do not.
I can delete the down load list but next time I use Itunes it tries to download
again. After a chat with Iinet internet speed has improved.
The above has happened about ten times over the last two months. So now I have
about ten different TV programs waiting to down load. The only way is to let
them download but that uses my data limit up.

iMovie and Keynote

2013-11-18 Thread Alan Fenton
Hello,
I have upgraded to Mavericks then others and I believe down graded to Numbers.
( Did Micro$oft pay the Numbers programmer, designer).

If I do not use iMovie or Keynote do I need to upgrade them?
So far I have not needed the above to view e-mails.
Are the above used to view other information such as from web pages?

Mavericks saving as image

2013-11-07 Thread Alan Fenton
I need to save Mavericks to put on three other macs.
My data allowance is 8GB with telstra and 16 GB with iinet.
I used 10GB on iinet updating my iPhone os, Mavericks, Pages, Numbers, iPhoto
and a few others.
I have 3 iMacs and one iPhone to update.

Two iMacs and the iPhone are on a different Apple account.

I hope there is a practical solution.

Help canon bjc-6500

2002-12-07 Thread Alan Fenton
Hello.
I am enjoying ??? ( May be good for a new user but not when there is info from
old mac to move.) the setting up of my flat screen iMac. I am trying to get my
printer to work with sys 10.2.2. Canon do not have sys 10 updates.
I thought I read in the our news group of someone who has made some updated
drivers.
The printer works in OS 9 mode so I may have to use my scanner in OS 9 as well.

If you agree with me then you may wish to do the same.

If I read your payments right, you automatically charge my credit card for your

I do not allow anyone to do that. If this is the only way to pay your fees then
I will not be joining.
How about you send an e-mail bill and I could pay by direct deposit.
There may be lots of people who feel the same as me.
