FOR SALE - 1GHz 12" Superdrive Powerbook

2003-10-29 Thread Matt Tavani

Hi WAMUGgers

I have a brand new, unused, in the box 1GHz 12" Powerbook for sale.

It has the following configuration:

• 1GHz PowerPC G4
• 512MB DDR266 SDRAM - (256MB built-in + 256MB SO-DIMM)
• 40GB Ultra ATA drive @ 4200rpm
• SuperDrive (DVD-R/CD-RW)
• 12.1-inch TFT XGA Display
• Firewire 400 + USB 2.0
• Bluetooth
• Airport Extreme Ready (ie - no card installed but can take one)

Note re Panther OS X 10.3: This machine is shipped with 10.2 but
qualifies for the 10.3 Up-To-Date program where it costs $35 to get
Panther delivered to you from Apple. I checked the qualification myself
with the serial number today.

Why am I selling it? To cut a long story short I had house break-in a
few months ago and lost a PC laptop. When it came time to claiming for
it they said I could have any brand I wanted so I went for Apple. I
already own a newish 17" PB and as much as I would love to keep this
one - and I so very much would - I could use the money for other
things.

This is a genuine sale and I can provide the receipt for warranty
purposes.

This unit with extra RAM retails for A$3,575. I am prepared to sell it
for $3,200.

I don't always catch up with the list items every day so if you are
keen please call me on 0402 031 727 or email me on [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Cheers, Matt

.Mac Mail and POP accounts trouble

2003-08-29 Thread Matt Tavani
I have a .Mac acct and would like to use .Mac web mail with my POP
account. This is possible but it seems to go away and import everything in
my POP account everytime I want to check for updated messages, rather than
just the messages since last check.

It sets all imported messages to Unread, every time, and to make things
worse, when I actually go back to OSX Mail at home, all the messages are
sitting in my Inbox twice (once for POP and once for the .Mac import)

Does anyone know of a way for .Mac web mail to act like other web based
POP checking accounts?

Apart from that I really like the .Mac web mail because it displays
messages sent from the web in a Sent folder back on my home machine.

Cheers, Matt

Digest Option for this list?

2003-08-06 Thread Matt Tavani
Hi, has the daily digest option disappeared on this incarnation of the list?

If not, can someone point me to the configuration page (if it is not the
Yahoo one).

Cheers, Matt

15" LCD iMac box needed urgently

2003-07-30 Thread Matt Tavani
Hi, does anyone have the box and foam innards for a 15" (or 17") LCD
iMac? I
urgently need to ship one and am having difficulty finding a box -
resellers don't
tend to have spares nor does the Perth Apple office.

Cheers, Matt
