Re: [WAMUG] Searching emails

2023-10-14 Thread Alex via WAMUG
   Hi All,

I think I have cracked it, just too obvious for me!!

When I get results of a search, I have to open the email & it tells me
up the top right where it is residing.

What I was looking for was a spreadsheet type result with date etc &
where it is residing on that one line without having to open the email
   to find out.

   Cheers & thanks, Alex

Thank you for your reply & advice, Robin.
However, I must be obtuse or blind as I can’t see any circle with a
 chevron inside it?

 Hi Alex,
I believe you are looking for something like this.

But you won’t see it if your mail is threaded like this

until you click on the chevron inside the circle and get this

now select the individual message and you will have the mailbox
   shown.
 Hope this helps

Hello Wamuggians,
I’m wondering if the search functionality in Mail has changed
   somewhat?
When I search for an email that I know I have seen recently but
   it’s
not in my In Box, the results do not show where it is now
   residing.
Is
there a preference/setting that I am not aware of?
Using a new MacBook Air with Ventura.
Cheers, Alex
