Re: 1password for iPad

2012-08-04 Thread Tim Law
Hello John,

I have used1password on my Mac for some time, has anyone used the iPad
version and transferred the Mac passwords to the iPad?

This is just what I do John, and have done for a number of months.

I use Dropbox to sync the 1Password sync file and it works easily and with out
a problem.

Be aware the iPad version is not as useful as the desktop version.
First, it will not pick up passwords entered on a page and offer to add them to
1Password.
Second, to use it, you need to open the 1Password app and then tap on the
website you want to open, your banking for example. Then 1Password uses what I
imagine is it's own browser and opens the site inside that.

Neither of these differences are a problem as such, just as long as you know
the functionality is decreased over the desktop version, and can live with it.
I also have 1Password on the iPhone and it works in the same way as the iPad.
I've never had problems with syncing issues using Dropbox.

Tim
