Quite often Apple Australia does not follow the same promotions as the
US (and you will find Apple in Europe also don't follow the US). It is
almost if they are separate companies!

That may be, but entering the .Mac section through the Apple Australia 
website leads you to the area where the $100 voucher offer is made. 
Seems to me if Apple Oz tries to back out, they're in for some legal 
problems.
