Hi Michael

As I don’t work for Apple, I can’t say.

Though I must say I don’t have an issue with mine. Mine is an Apple Watch 
Series 1 and I find it lasts well over a day for me. I’ve had mine on all day 
since 730am - used it for maps/navigation all day, replied to some texts on it, 
got it to search for some things, checked a few emails and replied to some 
emails and texts on it, and at 2.23am (i.e. now), it’s still got 41% battery 
life left. And it’s tracked health and movement and a bit of exercise (30mins) 
as well. And still not run out. (so that’s almost 19 hours roughly)
Perhaps an app or something is using a lot of power?
