I'm a bit late with this it seems; while Stuffit may work, DD-Expand is
freely available and can still be downloaded, so I'd use the real thing:

(Archive abstract is here:
 )

Version 4.0 from 1994 still runs fine under OS9/Classic in OS X. :)

Apparently Stuffit Expander handles Disk Doubler (.dd) archive files.

Have fun,

It looks as if Stuffit expander may do the job:

"Disk Doubler (Mac) format. Decompressed by DDExpand, DiskDoubler and
Stuffit Expander 5.5."

According to this page:

Might be worth trying with Stuffit in Classic mode.

Hi Malcolm,

Check out Opening Disk Doubler files from 1991! at
http://forums.macrumors.com/archive/index.php/t-26678
It look like you should be able to open the file/s with Stuffit Expander.

Cheers,
Peder

That sounds like Disk Doubler from memory. I did have it - I'll check to
see if I can find it (may take some time) but who knows if it will work
under OS 9 or Classic - I think it was built for OS 8 and is certainly not
going to work under OS X.

Cheers
