G'day to all

A big thank you to all the great helpers we have! And those who offered possible solutions to the .mpe suffix problemI had, including Robert Howells, Greg Sharp (President Australian Mac Users Group) and Nancy McIntyre in particular.

She simply said 'Well, if nothing else works, try changing the suffix by adding a 'g', which I tried, and it opened in QuickTime clear and sharp.

So remember if it happens to you, just alter .mpe to .mpeg.

Subject: A PC application I can't open

G'day

I've received some attachments from my brother with the suffix ".mpe".

When I double click I'm told that Real Player can't open it because I don't have the right version of QuickTime (v7.0.1 installed).

What is this evil that Gates and Co. are foisting upon us? Am I supposed to spend my hard-earned on QTPro?

Help please.
