I've got no chance in hell of getting this job :(

A friend of mine once got a job interview for a Catholic school and was
asked during the interview if he was a homosexual or had had pre-marital
sex. He walked out of the interview and told them he didn't want to work any
place where they had policies against that sorta stuff. His understanding of
"support the aims and ethos of the church" had been that you only said
positive things about the church and kept your real opinions to yourself.

My two kids go to Catholic schools. That might disqualify me as well.

Oh man, I believe that this is my new job. just hope that I can get
pass the immigration issues, because if I can, I'll be at the next
WAMUG meeting in person.
I just sent my resume and a little cover letter outlining my
qualifications. While I know it is bad form to include attachments to
the list here is the text of the cover letter I sent.

Brett Clarke
Director of Information Systems & Services

Mr. Clarke;

Please find my enclosed resume for the Macintosh Computer Support
positions you currently have posted. I believe that you will find my
background very appealing to you.

In addition to my college degrees in Electronics and Computer Science,
I have both a hardware service and software support background. For
the last 15 years my experience has ranged from:

Managing and servicing the 5000 Macintosh computers at McDonnell
Douglas, used to support the design of the international space station.
Working as an Apple System Engineer/Service Manager at the largest
Apple Retail Dealer in Las Vegas.
Providing Support to Teachers and Administrators in the Clark County
School District and it 184 schools (now 250).
Working as an independent Consultant designing complex Filemaker Pro
Solutions for many clients in many different business areas, including
the Andre Agassi Foundation.

Last fall I interviewed with Apple Computer to be Steve Jobs Personal
Systems Engineer. While I wasn't actually offered the job, (my
recruiter explained that an internal candidate had emerged and that
while they were impressed with me, preference goes to people from
within Apple), I believe that just being considered for such a position
speaks volumes about my technical qualifications and professional
demeanor.

My wife and I are beginning the process of relocating from the US to
Australia, and Perth is our first choice. I know that there are
considerable requirements in regards to immigration and employment in
your country. My hope is once you see my qualifications you will at
least consider me. I can travel to Perth for an interview on short
notice if needed.

If anyone on the list has any suggestions or want to see my resume,
please let me know
