I am using EyeTV400 which works very well. The thing I would like to know is:

EyeTv saves recorded programs as MPEG2 files which are excellent quality but use 2gb (or more) per hours worth of recording whereas the USB version of eyeTV (not being digital) used half this disc space (eg 1gb for hour of recording) but still had very acceptable quality.

My question is, once I save my recorded program as a Quicktime MPEG2 file how can I then convert into a smaller sized video/movie file so I can fit more on a DVD which I burn using Toast 6.

I am using iMac 20" G4/1ghz with 1gb Ram and 10.3.3.

I have the latest EyeTv400 software (1.3.5) released only today And Quicktime 6 with Quicktime MPEG2 installed.

Thanks in anticipation,

Phil
