RE: Changing 'hourly scale' in Entourage

2010-07-14 Thread Crisp, Peter
Hi Rob, I am an ex-Entourage user and am now a Mail and iCal convert,
but I am forced to use Outlook in my work environment due to the work
platform chosen - this is the view upon which Entourage has been cloned
from. However, in MS Outlook there is ToolsOptionsPreferencesCalendar
Options which may direct you to some way of presenting the screen to
meet your needs. Not 100% sure this will work for you, but the best I
can suggest given my history with Entourage.

Regards

Peter...

Subject: Changing 'hourly scale' in Entourage

Hi everyone

Perhaps this is just a Microsoft 'feature', but I live in hope...

I'm using Microsoft Entourage 2008 V12.2.5 (100505) with OS 10.6.4 for
calendaring.

I use the weekly view, so I can see all days of the week. In this view,
I can only see 12 hours of the day. I can scroll up and down, but I
can't overview more than 12 hours. This is a hassle because I have some
early morning entries and some evening entries, and I can't see them
all. I'd like to change the scaling of the hourly scale so I can see
more hours in a day. I can't find a way to do this. I can resize the
Entourage Window, but this does scale the hours, so I still see only 12
hours.

If anyone can understand what my problem is (:-|) I'd appreciate ideas
about how to solve it.

Regards
Rob

Re: Changing 'hourly scale' in Entourage

2010-07-14 Thread Daniel Kerr

Hi Rob

Unfortunately you can't change it I'm afraid. I find my Calendar view on my
15 MacBookPro will display about 18 hours with the Window as big as
possible. (Though I actually use iCal for the Calendar, I only use Entourage
for email).
This link has some ideas to work around it though.
http://www.officeformac.com/ms/ProductForums/Entourage/11183
Nothing super, but some may be of help.

It's strange though, as in iCal you can tell it your working day is
longer, and it will then shrink the hours to fit in one Window.
I tried this in Entourage (Entourage menu - Preferences - Calendar) and
changed the work hours from 9am-5pm to 5am to 9pm and it didn't change the
view. (So not as good as iCal) :O(

Sorry can't offer more advice then that,...but yes,..seems to be a
feature.

Hope that helps.

Kind Regards
Daniel
