I don't know about this product but I have been using Mactheripper for years 
and have never had a problem. Coupled with Mpeg Stream Clip They have gained me 
snippets of movies that I can use.

 price of Mac DVD Ripper Pro, and has an excellent reputation. Unlike 
 Handbrake, it copies everything from the DVD, not just the movie content.

This version will only rip the first 5 minutes of any DVD. They rip money off 
you to allow it to work longer.
