Re: Downloading photos from iPhone to Photos on iMac ?

2019-10-24 Thread Stephen Chape
Thank you Ronni & Pete.
I have just tried Image Capture.
Looks like the way now to import individual images from iPhoto.

But Photos in Catalina still imports images from iPhone too.
The only issue is that the thumbnails are greyed out so they are difficult to
select.

Very unlike me to make a quick move like this.
I always wait at least a month.

I must have been very tired and just clicked a button 浪

Hi Ronni and others, I too am resisting the move to Catalina until a couple of
dot updates and the noted issues by those here and elsewhere have quietened
down. Reading with interest what is going on though.

Regards

Pete

Hi Stephen,
I’m still running High Sierra on my Macs with no intention of upgrading.
To give a suggestion to the problem you are experiencing, have a read at this

Best Ways to Transfer Photos from iPhone to MacOS Catalina

“Image Capture is a built-in tool made to import photos from iPhone to macOS
Catalina. Most of the Mac users are not aware about this tool. It allows you to
easily transfer photos from iPhone to Mac. Just search it thru the search tool
or you can find it in the “Other” folder in the Launchpad or in the
Applications folder.”

Kind Regards,
Ronni
