Re: Modem dropout on 10.2

2002-09-20 Thread James Kunz
i'm just wondering if you have the same trouble as i had during the last
month but in os9, after time consuming tests i found that the modem
negotiates the highest speed possible thus getting unstable..
i tryalled a few different scripts with no usable result, then i
"crackt" a script and blockt off the lines where it want to negotiate
speeds above 42k...result: fare more stable connection
below you see a section of my suprafax script and where you see a
exclamation mark & a space before the comment that means the lines are
comments only..and not executed
good luck and anyway many thank to all who gave comment to "modem
disconnects" 2-3 month ago..James

2002-09-18 Thread Andrew Nielsen
Try using the Zoom V Series modem script. It worked OK for me on a
similar machine.

I suppose I'll have to wait around until the problem becomes more
widespread before I find a solution.

Suggestions?
