Re: Phishing warning on WAMUG messages.
Hi Paul Some weeks ago gmail informed me that my account had been accessed from a computer in Singapore. I love that security feature. My guess is that gmail is being rightfully suspicious of emails from my address. I feel dirty ;) maybe, but can't see why unless your account was used to send out a ton of e-mail. The others? Not sure, may just be looking at cookies or something and deeming those accounts 'noteworthy', guilty by proximity to some site or activity? Will likely pass. it also could be that their e-mail address is getting used for a reply address when spam messages have been sent out. -- Regards Kyle - Kyle Kreusch: This E-Mail Was Dictated Using One OF Nuance Communications, Dictate Products - *User Next*, *Apple and Macintosh User Group*: Websitehttp://usernext.org/| Facebook http://www.facebook.com/UserNext | Twitterhttp://twitter.com/UserNext - -- The WA Macintosh User Group Mailing List -- Archives - http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/archives.shtml Guidelines - http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/guidelines.shtml Unsubscribe - mailto:wamug-unsubscr...@wamug.org.au

Re: Phishing warning on WAMUG messages.
Hi David, I had a look at my setup when you sent me that message and it looks OK to me. The email is going through the correct server with the very same email address and password authentication as the cm200912 account. I am not sure what the problem is but others are also seeing this warning and think it may be a false positive from Google's phishing filter. http://www.google.es/support/forum/p/gmail/thread?tid=13963a50d8da1ac1hl=en If anyone else has any ideas please let me know. I definitely sent that Powerbook for sale message, so it wasn't phishing in that instance. As you can see, I also use gmail, but I am not getting any of those warnings.
