Scanner Suggestions?

2007-07-22 Thread Andrew Schox
Hi all,

I am in the market for a scanner which does duplex scanning of multiple
documents (usually less than 10 pages). Mac compatibility is essential. Does
anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers,

Andrew

I have only goods things to say about the 1670. It's fast, accurate,
simple to set up and the software is good. Very good value, IHMO.

As much as I hate "me to" post but I am very happy with my 1670
though you should be able to hunt around and get it for less - I
payed quite a bit less ($210 - going by memory) after a bit of
haggling between Tang and NetPlus

Not sure of that scanner but, I am interested in alternative 35mm slide
"negative" scanning, as I find the scanners don't reproduce them very well
at all.

I have previously seen a vertical standing "image capture/camera"? device,
but don't remember the name ?

I have heard of 4000 lpi "scanners" that are specially made for negatives.
Anyone with experience or advice on purchase or. any businesses
that provide this service (converting slides).

Thanks,

Mark S.

Scanner suggestions

2003-02-22 Thread Andrew Schox
Hi all,

I need to get a new scanner. One of the requirements is to scan x-rays.
Previously we had an old UMAX with the light box on the top (which worked
well enough), but I also want to scan photos and slides with good quality.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Andrew
