Next Byte (formally Random Access) and Winthrop Technology are now
separate entities owned by different companies. For those Mac users
who purchase/service through Winthrop there will be no change to the
process the only difference will be that if Winthrop doesn't have
goods in stock then they will not be able to access any available
stock that the Next Byte has as they did with Random Access.
Acourding to shop staff, as a result, Winthrop will stock a higher
volume and variety of goods to cover for any past short falls.
Next Byte, an eastern states reseller chain (some of you may remember
the name from the ABC "Buzzle" documentary a while back) has taken
over Random Access, the AppleCentre in Nedlands.
