Scenario

when compiling an email In Eudora 5.1 on OS 8.6, the application 
sometimes  quits unexpectedly , much to may annoyance, particularly 
if I have just spent 30 mins writing something up.


 usually in the midst of typing,particularly if the email is long 
and of course it hasn't been saved.


memory is set at
sug size 3000k
min size 2400k
preferred size 12000k

RAM is 384MB

do I need to increase this memory to stop it disappearing, or could 
it be someother issue?


How much mail is in your in and out mailboxes?


any thougnts?


The latest version of Eudora for OS 8.6 is 5.2.1, you may want to try 
upgrading to that.


Aside from that, compact your mailboxes, or try creating a new Eudora 
settings file and see if that fixes things.
