Re: iTunes Internet radio

2013-12-03 Thread Reg Whitely
Thanks Pete for asking this question, and Ronni for answering it. I wasn't
aware of this feature. Following Ronni's instructions I only got so far, and
had to ask for Apple's Help. This solved my dilemma:

• If you don’t see the Internet button, choose iTunes > Preferences,
click General, and select Internet Radio (next to Show).

• To see the available stations, click the triangle next to the type of
music you want to listen to.

• To tune in, double-click a station.

Have fun, Reg

Unfortunately iTunes Radio is not available in Australia until early 2014.
On your wife's MacBook, in iTunes:
To listen to Internet Radio, choose Music (under Library), then she will see
the Internet button in the menu. Click the Internet button.

Kind Regards,
Ronni

iTunes Internet radio

2013-12-03 Thread Peter Crisp
I live in Mandurah where the FM reception at my place for Perth radio stations
is not the best. A great alternative I've used for quite some time is to use
Radio via AppleTV - crystal clear and no skipping at all with a good internet
connection. The station I've listened to a bit can be located in "Adult
Contemporary" (Mix 94.5) and I have it set as a favourite within the Radio
module in the AppleTV menu. I'm also able to locate the same using "Internet"
from the header bar menu of my Windows PC version of the latest iTunes. The
Apple version on SWMBO's MacBook Pro iTunes does not have an "Internet" header
from which to select internet radio stations. Does anyone know how to locate
this within the iTunes on a Macbook?

Also, even if I find this, how does one do a search for a station (trying to
find "Coast FM" 97.3) by name within the internet radio stations whether
searching using a Windows iTunes, Macbook iTunes or even within the Radio
module in the AppleTV menu?

Regards
