my setup:
old mac clone with os9.1
g4 powerbook with os x.8
i'm that far that from the powerbook i can login as user (same name
& password as in os91 logon)
a window opens and shows all harddisk available
now if i click onto one of the hd's it gets greyed out but i cannot
find the icon anywhere on my powerbook screen thus no access
what i'm missing?
in os9 system file sharing, appletalk & tcp/ip are "on" & set for
"through ethernet"
in os10 i select ethernet, dhcp, no appletalk
within the os9 setup there is no sign of a networked powerbook......
weird is 2 weeks ago i was able to transfer 2 gig, so something has
gone lost
