[warzone2100-dev] "Special builds" are now available

2010-08-03 Thread buginator
Thanks to Cybersphinx and Dak180 for making available builds for the
proposed new textures from ticket:
http://developer.wz2100.net/ticket/2013

Please vote on how you like these new textures.
http://forums.wz2100.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6101

We also have ticket: http://developer.wz2100.net/ticket/1757 waiting
for people to vote on, but, as to not overload our community with more
'Special builds', I think we should wait until next week before doing
more 'Special Builds' with the tcmask modifications.

This patch adds tcmask to all the *original* models. Nothing more,
nothing less.

This will at least help with the backlog of patches that we have in trac. :)

[warzone2100-dev] 2.3.3 has been released!

2010-08-03 Thread buginator
Sorry, forgot to post this to the ML:

=

Today, we release 2.3.3, and we strongly urge you to upgrade
immediately, since it corrects a memory corruption bug that has been
present throughout the 2.3 series. The two problems of 2.3.2, errors
with burn damage and map loading, have also been fixed, though that
means that for now, the Sk- prefixes are back. This release will not
be able to load skirmish games saved in 2.3.2, but the next release
will be able to.

2010-08-01: Version 2.3.3
 * General:
   * Fix: Prevent out of bounds access of player stat arrays that
would corrupt random memory (r11322, ticket:2029)
   * Fix: Burn damage calculations (r11303)
 * UI:
   * Revert: Don't show "Sk-" and "-T1" in the map chooser (r2,
r11202, r11206)
 * Translations:
   * New: Korean (r11349)
   * Updated: Polish (r11348)

[warzone2100-dev] [Warzone 2100 Trac] #2051: Add displayname to the level loading code

2010-08-03 Thread Warzone 2100 Trac
#2051: Add displayname to the level loading code

 Component:  other  |
Version:  trunk and 2.3

System:  All/Non-Specific
Blocked By: |

 This patch adds a displayname '''without''' touching the original map's
 name, so there will be no issues with either SP or Skirmish or MP maps--
 as can be seen by the now reverted patches in 2.3.3 ( r11310, r11305,
 r11206, r11202, r11200, r11199, r2 ) and the newest addition of r11331
 (in svn/2.3).

 While there are many ways to handle this, I feel this is, by far, the
 safest way to deal with this issue, and this has a added bonus of not
 'breaking' savegames.

 refs ticket:1990

 The other issue that isn't part of this ticket yet is, the addon.lev file
 that we currently have, we can delete the DeathMatch / Mayhem entries, and
 also, we can fix the Unique names of the maps to however we want them. I
 rather like seeing Mapname-T1 instead of Mapname.

 That means, I am leaning toward making the level names from "Sk-
 mapname"(some have -T1 as well) to "MapName-T1".

 I tried to run the game trunk(revision 11371) and am getting this error
 message:
 {{{

 "/usr/lib/debug//usr/lib/libaudiofile.so.0.0.2" does not match

  attached is the game dump file from the crash. I tried uninstalling and
 then reinstalling the game, but still got the same error message.

 When going to Key Mappings screen, the language used there is my system
