[warzone2100-dev] [Warzone 2100 Trac] #2516: Mobile sensor turret - hold position doesn't work
#2516: Mobile sensor turret - hold position doesn't work ---+--- Reporter: Eugen |Type: bug Status: new |Priority: normal Milestone: 2.3.x | Component: Campaign Version: 2.3.7 |Keywords: Operating System: Windows XP | Blocked By: Blocking: | ---+--- Since version 2.3.6 is no longer supported and this bug has not been fixed (Ticket #2391), I am creating a new bug report to keep it up-to-date. A mobile sensor turret ignores hold position command though it was ordered to. I ordered the mobile sensor turret with assigned indirect-fire units to hold position. Then it automatically chose an approaching enemy target and indirect-fire units opened fire. When the enemy began to retreat the mobile sensor turret began to pursue it instead of choosing another target to attack. The order hold position doesn't work for a mobile sensor turret. As a result this unit becomes useless and is wasted quickly when it begins to pursue a retreating enemy unit. I have attached a save game file where you can see this bug: the mobile sensor turret is targeting an enemy tank. The enemy is retreating and instead of switching to another target, the sensor turret begins to pursue the enemy. Please notice that the sensor turret was given the hold position command.
