Re: [wtr-general] Watir with Safari!!!

2013-01-18 Thread Sophia Sunitha
@ Željko and Oscar:
Does Watir-Webdriver support automating Safari in Windows XP or 7.
If yes then does the extension has some effect, since the version of
selenium-webdriver gem is 2.27.2 but the svn check out leads to 2.28.1.
Will this have any affect. I was able to get 2.27.0 which is the revision
18300. But still the error remains.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Željko,

I have faced the same issue once. I did whatever is mentioned in the web
page but I still couldnt automate. The browser opens but it doesnt perform
any operation beyond that.

@ Oscar,
I dont mind it being slow because I am making a feasibility study,

Thanks,
Sophia

+1 it does work its a bit slower than with other browsers and an involved
process of installing the driver

[wtr-general] Watir with Safari!!!

2013-01-16 Thread Sophia Sunitha
Hi,

I'm facing problems in the following areas:

1. Whether WATiR can be used to automate in Safari browser?

2. If it is possible what are the steps needed to follow for that?

3. If it is not possible, then are there any documents/authentic web
site reference available to support the same?

4. Is there any specific web-driver needed to be installed for WATiR?
If yes, then how to get the driver and the steps needed to be followed to
install the driver and make it communicate with WATiR gems.

Currently we have performed the following steps to integrate the selenium
Safari driver with WATiR, but yet to get any success:

1. Registered in the Apple developer’s network on Safari development
platform.

2. Downloaded Safari certificate and installed it.

3. Downloaded selenium safari extension and installed the extension
in the Safari browser.

4. Installed the selenium ruby gem.

Kindly provide your support

Thanks,

Sophia

[wtr-general] WATIR with Safari on Windows

2009-06-22 Thread Girisan

Hi,

We are looking for options for an automated testing solution for
applications on Safari on Windows.
We are looking at relatively simple web applications here.

Will WATIR be able to support this?
For e.g.: Record on Firefox and replay on Safari, all on Windows, with
minimal tinkering?

Alternately, if we record it on a MAC/Safari, can we play the scripts
on Windows/Safari?

Regards
