[Wayland-bugs] [Bug 101139] Acceleration still too fast with slow and slow-medium finger movements
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101139 --- Comment #33 from Peter Hutterer--- Created attachment 138012 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=138012=edit 0001-filter-match-accel-roughly-with-macos.patch This patch matches the macos pointer acceleration, afaict, at least at speed 0 and the min/max ranges sort-of match as well. +1.0 is more controllable than macos IMO. The negative ranges close to -1.0 have a tendency to shoot off too much, I think we need some lower max-accel caps here. Anyway, give this one a try please and let me know what you think. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ wayland-bugs mailing list wayland-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/wayland-bugs

So either you held your finger perfectly still or the device/firmare/kernel driver is buggy and doesn't send input events. Either way, this bit isn't something we can fix in libinput. The jitter in attachment 138009 is crazy, but the fixes for bug 104828 would detect it if we'd switch to y-based jitter (not sure why it only jitters on the y axis here, very strange). But we also need a tool for measuring fuzz (see bug 105202) so we can use this in the hwdb. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ wayland-bugs mailing list wayland-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/wayland-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99268 --- Comment #14 from Nate Graham--- I think there's a pretty trivial way to resolve this: consider 70px or so strip on the bottom to be where a thumb will land, and completely disregard any touches on that strip while the pointer is moving.
