About ivi shell and hmi controller
Hi, All Sorry for I am a beginner in using ivi-shell to develop application. So I don't know the specific sequence and procedure. I want to get some sample code which rendering with egl and using ivi-control to manage the layer, that is similar to simple-egl.c, not ivi-shell-usr-interface.c in weston-1.9.0\clients. Who can provide a C program for me. Very thanks. Hi, Most chip vendors that I know have a GENIVI compliant BSP. Maybe you can ask to chip vendor if they have GENIVI support. Hi Ucan, There is another problem that ivi-controller.so or ivi-controller.h that is used to develop doesn't exist in sdk which provided by chip vendor. How can i get the .h and .so file? Might I copile it by myself? Hi Anthenony, The ivi-hmi-controller protocol is a test/toy protocol only. It is not usable for real IVI sytems. You have to use ivi-controller protocol for entire functionality of IVI-Shell. About ivi shell and hmi controller
Hi, all: Recently started using IVI to develop vehicle navigation with wayland 1.9. I downloaded a package named weston-1.9.0 at wayland official website. There is some source code in folder weston-1.9.0\ivi-shell. I found so many functional realization in ivi-layout.c and other .c files. For example, set_position, set_visible,set_opacity, set_dimension and so on. But there is only a small part of interfaces in ivi-application-client-protocol.h and ivi-hmi-controller-client-protocol.h that provided by chip vendor(client-protocol.h has attached). I created an ivi-application surface referring to simple-egl, and I don't know how to make it set positon and dimension. Who has relevant experience please tell me. Thanks.
