also played the mother of a groom in a different show, and Betty Lynn was in

tradin'

2007-06-20 Thread Paul Mulik
If there are any veterinarians out there, I happen to still have several
cases of Miracle Salve that I am willing to let go at a bargain price.

Would you be interested in trading for some licorice seeds? How about a
button off the uniform of General George Washington?

--Jerry Parker

P.S. I hear Johnny Paul Jason has some horsehairs to trade.

hymn tune

2007-06-20 Thread Paul Mulik
...It finally came to me that it was the melody to one of the hymns sung
when the choir finally got their beautiful robes! Paul, do
you know what this might be? Aunt Bee of Orlando

You may be thinking of Franz Liszt's well-known tune Liebestraum, which
the ladies' choir sang as Grant Us Our Evening Prayer. Andy also used
this tune on one of his silly old Love Poems records. The other hymn the
ladies sang in that episode was The Lord Bless You and Keep You.

Hawthorne Collection

2007-06-20 Thread Robert James
I remember reading about the promotional flyer being mailed out for the new
Hawthorne pieces and saw where Ken had mentioned his, so I was curious if they
are any different than the first set that came out in the 90's?
As a collector of both Hawthorne sets I can assure you that they are different.
They have snow and the Christmas theme but they are not the old buildings
simply decorated for Christmas. Bob James

TAGS on Matlock

2007-06-20 Thread Harry Brewbaker
I remember Betty Lynn (Lovely Thelma Lou) playing one of Ben's secretaries
early on in the series and Jack Dodson (Howard Sprague) playing one of Ben's
clients accused of killing the leader of a cult that had brain washed his son.
I wish they could have had an episode with Mr Shwump sitting in the jury box.

My apologies for rule-violatin' by offering my Miracle Salve on the Digest.
Given the harshly worded cease and desist letter I just received from
Bernard P. Fife, Attorney-at-Law, you can be assured I won't do it again! I
certainly don't want to get black-listed.

TAGS DVDs

2007-06-20 Thread Diane Geddings
Several people have sent posts that they have extra DVDs of TAGS since they
have come out with the entire season sets. I read in our local paper several
months ago that our area hospitals had purchased portable DVD players so
that patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments would have something to
watch to perhaps make these treatments a little more bearable. WBUTBB
subscribers may want to consider making donations of this type.

RE: Andy and Helen

2007-06-20 Thread Sue Doughty

While channel surfing today I happened up on Matlock. In this episode
Helen was playing a judge. It sure was good to see them together
again, other than Don who else from TAGS had a role in Matlock?

I believe that Howard (Jack Dodson) was in an episode about his son
being in a cult.

Thelma Lou (Betty Lynn) played his secretary in a few episodes.

I'll put on my bucket and thank and see if I can remember any one
else.

A true TAGS moment occured in my job!

responded with a whole history of the case, he seemed surprised.

Aunt Bee's lunch basket

2007-06-20 Thread Lori Foust
I have been wondering about a basket that Aunt Bee uses to bring lunch to Andy
and Barney. The episodes that we have been watching have her using a flat
basket covered with a tea towel. I truly thought that at one point Aunt Bee
had a domed basket with a two sided lid. Can anyone tell me if I have imagined
this basket? If this basket exisits what episode may I find it in?
  Thank you in advance,
