I have not been receiving the digest every day. I figured I was the only one. I did receive the bounced message. I did receive the digest today and saw other people having problems. Bouncing or no bouncing
Hi All, Shazaam...I sure am glad to know I was not the only one that got the 'ole bounce...I didn't even know why! Sure am glad, too, that my digest is back right 'chere in my email box ...nary a thing to be reckoned with, ya know! Thanks to Alan for working on the machines that caused this...and I thought they were GOD machines... but I wonder what causes that? Hope everyone is doing goodmissed hearing from the gang...but now we can all get back to our corner of Mayberry and enjoy our digest. Sure is good to laugh! WBMUTBB Digest Mass re-subscribe.
Because of the problems we have been having recently with the WBMUTBB Digest about 860 people were unsubscribed that should not have been and didn't ask to be. The only way I can fix the problem is to re-subscribe all those that were subscribed, which is what I am doing. If you intentionally unsubscribed, PLEASE accept my apology and if you let me know I will remove you again as quickly as possible. Hopefully our delivery problems have been corrected and the Digest can get back to normal. I too was not receiving the digest and got the "bounce" message and had no idea what it meant. I did send Allen and e-mail and he was kind enough to respond to it. He explained that it was a problem that many of us were having and reminded me that I could keep up by reading the archives and that the problem was being worked on. I have been receiving the digest again and am so thrilled. I really missed all of you co-fans and feel at home again on Andy's front porch. I would really like to thank Allen for all his help in getting this problem fixed. It is very much appreciated and enjoyed by so many. Have a Mayberry kinda' Day All !! Problems and Bounces
With some limited knowledge of this stuff I am guessing "BOUNCE" is a failure to deliver notice something similar to this. This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification. Delivery to the following recipients failed. [EMAIL PROTECTED] If my mail system fails to deliver more then 3 times it kicks me a notice asking if I want that address to remain on my mailing list, I am guessing that is a bounce. As another Mike said yesterday in a message it does seem odd that Allan "FLOYD" Newsome hasn't responded personally to anyone. My guess is with spring here and all the school dances and such he is just busy as a beaver cutting hair and of course hearing them wonderful phrases such as "my mom says not to cut it wrong this time" and "my mom says she will pay you later'. poor Floyd always happens this time of year lets just hope he doesn't get Barber claw and he has time for his pansies. Hope all is well with you Allan and we all hope to see something from you soon. BTW: This could also be some kind of failure because of the archive system recently put into use, just be patient folks, all the bugs will be taken care of soon enough, Allan isn't going to let something as good as this part of Mayberry just fade away. Thanks and Bait
Thanks Allan, you at least have gotten the problem fixed for me. I got the digest for the first time in at least a month. As to Andy and Opie's bait. They may have been like my wife's late Uncle Junior. He hated fishing with artifical bait, preferred minnows. The government owned lake he liked to fish in near his house didn't allow live bait to be used. Uncle Junior used to fill a sandwich bag with water and minnows and keep it in his pocket and sneak the minnows out and put them on his hook. One year for his birthday, my wife gave him a big box of sandwich bags with "Junior's Tackle Box" printed on the side.
