Those of you who are Southern Gospel Music fans will know who Jeff and Sheri Easter are. In this month's issue of Singing News is a full page ad of their new project titled Mayberry Live. It was recorded in Mt. Airy, Jeff Easter's home town. The project cover shows the Easters singing as part of the concert, but it also has some Mayberry shots. David Browning is shown in uniform with his arms around Jeff and Sheri. My family and I were in Green River, Wyoming for a karate tournament, and the mayor of Green River kicked off the event with "Greetings from Green River, home of the Green River ordinance!" I wondered if that mayor ever ambled over to Mayberry and explained the Green River Ordinance to Andy and Barney! Sam, I'm afraid you got Buzz Fluhart mixed up with Dr. Merle Osmond. Dr. Merle Osmond (PPD) wrote the book on Psychic Phenomenon. Buzz Fluhart was the one who investigated cosmic rays for jinxing people in "The Jinx" episode. But that's OK. Buzz and Merle were probably kinfolk anyway.
