So what is the special connections?? Must be the colors - same as Mayberry Union High - blue and orange. There's an old joke about U of F - It's God's school cause the sky is blue and sun is orange (even though we know it's yellow). Kinda like Everything is AOK in Mayberry. which it isn't. Joe The Untrained Voice, WOW I just read The Favorite Story Never Told and I just have to say that it was incredible!!! You captured the spirit of the show and the characters so well in your writing that I could picture the whole thing in my mind. It was just like watching an actual episode of the show. The tall and short of it
I believe the tallest charachter was John Dehner (Aunt Bee's Medicine Man).Imdb doesn't have a height but I believe he was 6'5 or 6'6.Should watch that episode and compare him to Andy. Obviously the shortest was Johnny Silver aka Prothro Hanson (no relation to me)in the Great Filling Station Robbery.Imdb lists him as 4'11 1/2. Also remember him in Mel Brooks History of the World, has a small part as the small liar..(small lire) in the Roman Empire episode. Anyone out there listens to Radio classics from Radio Spirits? Airs here weekdays from 1-2 PM, hear a lot of TAGS charachters in it. Howard McNear, Andy Clyde,among them. Ready for season 2 of Gomer. Think most of TAGS had a cameo at least in the 1st season.Of couse being from the same studio helped, of course. What a change in weather here in SW Wisconsin.
