Dialog question
In the episode High Noon in Mayberry Barney gets in an argument with the mail carrier. He tells him just wait til he parks in the wrong spot sometime. It sounds to me like he responds with; as long as I'm carrying the mail I have right of way over Ambulance, firetrucks (or something along those lines) than he adds what sounds like and Heavier than aircraft That doesn't make any sense though. TAGS Actors on 'Matlock'
Off the top of my head for TAGS actors on 'Matlock', I can think of Betty Lynn, Pat Hingle, William Schallert, Jack Dodson, Arlene Golonka, Amzie Strickland, Bo Hopkins, Aneta Corsaut, and Don Knotts. (Everett Greenbaum- the prolific TAGS writer-played Judge Katz.) BTW, James Best would have made a great guest actor on 'Matlock', given his good performance on the Fred Silverman produced 'In the Heat of the Night.' Strangely enough I was just thinking about that myself. In 1963 I was a cheff in a fast food restaurant and I earned a dollar an hour, that was about the average for a kid in high school. A cup of coffee was ten cents and you could buy a quarter pound hamberger, order of fries (or onion rings) and a coke for one dollar. Goober said he made $1.25 per hour. I believe that's what minimum wage was at the time. I was just reading the digest about Andy's statue being vandalized when Fox News had a story about it. They said green paint was poured on his head and red paint to his badge and chest.
