I firmly believe that in every situation, no matter how difficult, God extends
grace greater than the hardship, and strength and peace of mind that can lead
us to a place higher than where we were before.

RE: Susan Oliver

2010-06-01 Thread Hughes, Clyde L. (HSC)
He might've thought she looked familiar from her Star Trek appearance (although
that was after this episode was filmed).
I think both reasons are possible...perhaps he was afraid to leave her alone
with Barn, as his whole body was a weapon. :-)

Andy's book

2010-06-01 Thread Janet Anderson
Has anyone heard anything about Andy's autobiography coming out this July?
It says so on Amazon and Border's website, but no one here has made mention
of it that I know.

Ian, I mentioned this, I think, at the end of last year when I first saw the
book on Amazon. I was surprised (and a bit frustrated) that we had to wait so
long for the book to come out. But what surprised me more was that no one here
on the digest, besides me, mentioned it or had any information about it.

That maybe one of those things we have to figure out for ourselves.
Personally I think opening the courthouse door, walking inside and suddenly
seeing a '58 Rambler staring you in the face, emphasizes the point that you
need to watch where you're walking and be aware of your surroundings, since
cars can often come out of nowhere. Kind of an odd way to make the point but
you have to admit it's eye-catching and memorable.

Mayberry article

2010-06-01 Thread Janet Anderson
If you would like to read it just go to
http://www.aarp.org/magazine/http://www.aarp.org/magazine/ There are four
stories that flash across the
top and it is story number 4.

Enjoyed reading the article, Ken. Thanks for posting the link. I noticed that
they described TAGSRWC as an online community of fans, whereas I believe only
our own Internet chapter would qualify as an online community. Also, I took
the ten-question quiz, which was fun. Because of my perfect score, I graduated
Magna Cum Opie. I guess it's the Helen Crump in me, but I think that should
more correctly be Summa Cum Opie.
