Morelli's.... again
"That be the last time I let Jethro talk me into going to Morelli's for weekend vittles, Jed. I can understand a starvin' man making do with their pound steak ala' Morelli, being it pounded right on the premises an' such, but a gypsy fiddle player not knowin 'Leven Cent Cotton, Forty Cent Meat... now that's where I draw the line!" All the popular shows, including Colonel Tim's Talent Time, The Doug Dillard Band, Golf Dinner & Entertainment and Karen Knotts "Tied Up in Knotts" have sold out this year. You can avoid that next year and order early. I will be updating http://www.mayberrydays.org this weekend for others to access this page, but am giving WBMUTBB members an early notice so we don't have to slip to the front of the line like Ernest T joining the Army. Zeke Dooley
Vern got it right, Dooley's first name is Zeke. If you do an Internet search for "Mitch Jayne Zeke Dooley" you can find some of these hilarious stories. Many of them were published over the years in a magazine called The Missouri Conservationist. Even better than reading the stories off the page is hearing Mitch read them in his own voice. Folks who live in Missouri can hear the audio version of the magazine at any public library (at least, it used to be available on cassette; I haven't checked lately.) I don't know if you'll be able to find the audio version online though. Maybe Allan can work some into a podcast someday if copyright laws allow. Horatio
"Does anybody else watch *CSI Miami* and giggle every time somebody addresses the boss as Horatio---(half a boy)?" I haven't Terry, but there's a closed down resturant not far from my house called "Horatio's" and every time I pass it, I'm tempted to say "poor Horatio".
