Jack Burns was reportedly fired from his role of Deputy Warren Ferguson on Christmas Day, and he allegedly vowed never to have anything to do with any Mayberry functions after that. More recently he's done quite a lot of voiceover work, for example the popular series of crash test dummies commercials (with Lorenzo Music) and several Animaniacs cartoons.
