Brother trivia

2014-03-26 Thread Paul Mulik
Here is a new trivia question I thunk up for you good folks: Name a person who
lives in Mayberry County whose brother is seen on screen in an episode of TAGS.

Note that the brother seen does not necessarily reside in Mayberry County. For
example, Otis Campbell is a correct answer because Otis lives in Mayberry and
we do see his brother Ralph, but Ralph Campbell is not a correct answer because
Ralph does not live in Mayberry. Remember that the brother must be seen; if a
character (such as Thelma Lou or Aunt Bee) is known to have a brother but we
never SEE said brother, it doesn't count.

There are many correct answers. Go!

Dinner with the Clark's trivia

2014-03-26 Thread Harvey Price

Ken,
You're the only one to reply to the question about what the Clark's had for
dinner at Andy's house in the episode Emmett's Anniversary. You're right,
they don't show what was served at dinner, but when Emmett gets up and says
he's going into the kitchen for a glass of water, Andy says, very quickly,
corned beef. I had to rewind and double check but that's what he says. Maybe
I just have too much time on my hands!!

Brothers

2014-03-26 Thread Ken Anderson
How about these for brothers?

Of course there are all the Darling brothers who we see quite often.

There are brothers Billy, Ike, and Junior Gordon.

And of course we have the real life brothers, Opie and Leon.

And what about all the lodge brothers of the Regal Order of the Golden
Door to Good Fellowship Lodge.

RE: Brother trivia

I'll guess the brothers Jed Prothro Hanson in The Great Filling Station
Robbery were from Mayberry. (Can't say that I've ever met anyone named Prothro)

dinner

Gosh Harv, I didn't recall that either about the company dinner but perhaps
it was near St. Paddy's Day; that's when I always have corned beef for sure!
I roasted mine for the first time this year and it came out good so I was
happy. Best of luck to you and yours,
Aunt Bee of Orlando

Brothers

2014-03-26 Thread Jim and Nancy
First we have the Darling boy who were brothers to each other and to
Charlene. Then Bill Matthews was Lucy Matthew's brother in Stranger in
Town. Mayor Stoner's bother happened to have a business where the new
road was being constructed (The Loaded Goat). Tommy Parker was Betty
Parker's bother in Big Brothers. And let us not forget that Andy
pretended he was Opie's older brother in Floyd the Gay Deceiver! Also
Andy, Opie and Peggy were blood brothers!

to thrill over 200,000 fans live and millions on TV with his rendition of our

Re: Aren't you kind?

2014-03-26 Thread Musiklyors
There were so many funny lines in this episode about Malcom Meriweather's
return to Mayberry.
I'm not like you guys out there. I have no tapes or disks of the TAGS
shows. If I really enjoy the episode I'm watching, I take notes. I think it's
more fun that way.
Barney said he had a clock in his stomach, and that he had suffered from
weakness if he didn't eat. Andy teased him and Barney suggested that Andy
deserved the miss luncheon tray title.
Barney kept throwing the word facetious around, he used the word
correctly, and and pronounced it right too.
Many years ago, I sent Harvey Bullock a thank you note for the excellence
of the writing and the purity of the show. HE WROTE BACK!! That was about
20 yrs ago. I just wanted to tell y'all.
