Why is the word spam in caps right before what I wrote in subject line on last post? Had I done something wrong? Rick Charlottesville, Va Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE DROID ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Trivia answer
Here is the answer to my recent trivia question. In Alcohol and Old Lace, when Andy releases Rube Sloan from jail, he says, "Write if you get work." This was Ray Goulding's sign-off catch phrase on the old Bob and Ray radio programs. His partner Bob Elliott (father of actor Chris Elliott) would then add "Hang by your thumbs." When Bob and Ray revived their show for public radio in the 1990s, they would encourage listeners to visit their website. The catchphrases were updated to "Hang by your modems" and "Write if you get it to work." Paul Mulik ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
