Mayberry Days
Hey, Mayberry friends. Let's see: hotel reservations, check. Tickets to the shows, check. Anticipation of a great time, hardly in check. We'll be taking our grandchildren again (young Mayberry fans). Can you tell I'm excited? These preparations cost money, but the memories: priceless. Now I'm going to start brushing up on TAGS trivia.Larry in Lincolnton ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/

New Businesses/Real Estate
Mayberry seemed to have a lot of new businesses opening up creating jobs for some and investments for others. There was the Chinese Restaurant, The (Counterfeit) Printing Co. , the new Meat Market, the Laundromat, Bert's "this and that" stand, Opie's Lemonade Stand. Then, we had Barney selling real estate on the side, Howard buying the lease to the Barber Shop, and Goober buying Wally's Gas Station. I am sure there are a lot more. ___ WBMUTBB mailing list WBMUTBB@wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
Opie's Fortune
On August 31, younger brother turned 57. So nice to be with Mom, Grandma, siblings, grandkids, nephews and nieces celebrating with dinner, cake and gifts. Great to all be together. We celebrated at his place in north central Ontario. ( about an hour south of Algonquin Park ) After, we all watched Opie's Fortune. It was great to see ages 14 to 80 enjoying and seeing the humour and care as Barney read the newspaper to Andy regarding Earl Pike's birthday gift of a brand new car to his boy. "How old is his boy?" "He's 57, isn't he?" Andy's nod toward's Barneyjust so fantastic. Just shows how our favourite show lives on and transcends the ages. Take care.
